Spectra

In Spectra, photographer and mountaineer Julien Lacroix revisits the Alpine landscape, blurring the lines between reality and imagination.

The project was born from a dream: the Dent du Géant emerging from an Arctic ocean. From this vision arose an exploration where photography becomes a field for visual and conceptual experimentation.

Spheres, portals, and rings are inscribed into high-mountain landscapes, creating a tension between the natural and the artificial, memory and futuristic projection. Gateways to the unknown, vestiges of a civilization past or yet to come.

Lacroix scrutinizes the raw material of the Alpine reliefs to reveal invisible structures, signs of an indeterminate presence. Between certainty and vertigo, the mountain becomes a territory haunted by our imagination.
